How to Choose the Correct Pneumatic Fitting

Selecting the correct fitting means matching both the tube dimensions and the threaded port. A similar-looking fitting may not be compatible.

Check the Tube Outside Diameter

Confirm the tubing's outside diameter in millimetres or inches, such as 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm. These are examples of common sizes; actual availability must be confirmed.

Identify the Thread Standard

Confirm whether the port uses BSPP, BSPT, NPT, metric or another thread. Do not select a thread based on appearance alone.
